New Orleans and its Attractions
New Orleans and its Attractions
When visiting the Big Easy, many visitors prefer to stay in the French Quarter, which is the center-piece of the city and where you will find historic architecture, unique shopping, world class dining, and of course, world famous night life. The French Quarter was untouched by the hurricane and flood and you can expect the 24 hour non-stop excitement for which it is so well known. There is easy access to the interstate from the French Quarter and there are several quality golf courses within a thirty minute drive.
The French Quarter
There are dozens of hotels, restaurants and shops in the French Quarter. If you are planning to stay in the French Quarter / Downtown area and only playing a round or two, you can get by without a rental car by using taxi cabs, Uber, or ask about our Van or Car Service. Courses convenient to the French Quarter are Audubon, Stonebridge, Timberlane, English Turn, TPC, Bayou Oaks, and Lakewood.
If you want to play several courses, especially some of the premium courses, which are located across Lake Ponchartrain, then a rental car is necessary or Van Service is available. Keep in mind that there are daily parking fees at most hotels.
In either case, ground transportation to and from the hotel to the courses via van or mini bus can also be arranged with your package.
A Vibrant Night Life
TripAdvisor released the 2013 TripIndex Cities, an annual cost comparison combining the price of an evening out featuring cocktails, a two-course dinner, round-trip taxi costs and an overnight stay for two in a four-star hotel.According to the TripIndex, New Orleans is among the least expensive cities for summer 2013 travel, claiming the sixth spot on the top ten list of least expensive U.S. cities. Stay in the French Quarter, play PGA Tour quality courses, and dine in world famous restaurants. What could be better? Only Big Easy Golf can offer golf packages like that.
