 New Orleans newest golf course, Stonebridge
Golf Club of New Orleans, is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown New
Orleans. This John Robinson / Jeff Cornish 27 hole twelve and a half million
dollar re-design of the former Stonebridge Country Club course celebrates
New Orleans by naming the three nines after Jazz greats Louis Armstrong,
Pete Fountain, and Al Hirt.
This 27-hole layout showcases the canals &
bayous, reptiles & waterfowl that characterize this unique New Orleans golf
experience. Stonebridge exhibits a links-style course design, featuring
over 100 sand traps that protect pristine fairways and large, undulating
greens. Players can adjust their skill level to the golf course by choosing
from any of our six sets of tees. While water hazards can come into play on
most holes, there are very few forced carries, which further highlights the
playability of Stonebridge for golfers of all skill levels.

Rental Car in
New Orleans - Need one or not? |

If you are planning to stay in the French Quarter
/ Downtown area and only playing a round or two, you can get
by without a rental car by using taxi cabs. Courses convenient
by taxi are
Stonebridge,
Timberlane,
English Turn,
TPC, and
Chateau.
If you want to
play several courses, especially some of the premium
courses, which are located across Lake Ponchartrain, then a
rental car is recommended. Keep in mind that there are daily
parking fees at most hotels.
In either case,
ground transportation to and from the hotel to the courses
via van or mini bus can also be arranged with your package.
