Rental Car in New Orleans - Need one or not?

If you are planning to stay in the French Quarter / Downtown area and only playing a round or two, you can get by without a rental car by using taxi cabs.

If you want to play several courses, especially some of the premium courses, which are located across Lake Ponchartrain, then a rental car is recommended. Keep in mind that there are daily parking fees at most hotels.
