Orange County
National's Panther Lake Course was the first course ever designed to
feature 18 signature holes and showcase the native beauty of the
Florida landscape. It accomplishes this feat in spectacular fashion.
The sheer variety of the holes will astound you and make you think
you are playing golf on holes that are continents, not yards apart.
The course incorporates rolling hills with up to 60-foot elevation
changes as it winds through natural oak hammocks, pine forests,
scenic wetlands and glistening freshwater lakes. A heroic 7,295-yard
from the tips Panther Lake also offers the more manageable options
of 6816, 6298 and 5094 yards allowing players of all levels to enjoy
as much or as little course as they wish. While the phrase you will
use every club in your bag is often over used, at Panther Lake you
can be sure that you will need all 14 clubs! While the front nine
will test your skill as the course weaves through natural Florida
wetlands putting a premium on accuracy, the back offers a different
challenge. There you will find very un-Florida like changes of
elevation, and pine tree lined fairways reminiscent of the
Carolinas.

Crooked Cat offers a
strong compliment to its sister course, Panther Lake. Crooked Cat
has its own unique characteristics giving the player the choice of
playing two very different courses in the same day. Designed with a
distinct "links" flavor, its open and flowing design features few
trees, wide terraced fairways and native heather grass in the rough.
This design gives the player an experience reminiscent of that found
about 3000 miles to the east in the Scottish Highlands.
With large sloping greens, steep grass and sand bunkers, lots of
native vegetation, and 50-foot elevation changes, Crooked Cat offers
a true test to golfers of all skill levels. A fearsome 7,277-yards
from the back tees, the course also can be played at 6748, 6035,
5236 yards, allowing you to choose how much of the "Cat" you want to
tame!
Crooked cat has also been awarded
4 1/2 Stars by Golf
Digest's
"BEST PLACES TO PLAY"
and
listed among the Top 50 courses in North America for Conditioning,
Pace of Play and Overall Value. |

Like our entire facility there is
nothing you would call ordinary about the Tooth. It is in the same
great shape as our regulation courses and provides exactly the same
type of challenge albeit on a smaller scale. It is a great place for
players who like to work on their irons or those with only enough
time to play a quick 9 holes.
Ride or walk, the choice is yours. With natural changes in
elevation, a huge central lake that comes into play on four holes,
the Tooth's par 29 is a challenge for all who play it!
If you are a guest in our Lodge, you can walk the Tooth before your
round, after your round, or both at no charge! In fact you can play
it as often as you like because it is included with all of our Lodge
stays.
As special consideration to our younger players, juniors can play
free when accompanied by a paying adult and have special pricing
when playing on their own.
