The Country Club of Miami has 36 holes of championship golf that opened back in 1960 with Arnold Palmer as the original golf professional.The Country Club of Miami was the site for the first professional round of golf played by Jack Nicklaus. Adding to this facility's interesting history -- Jackie Gleason lived here and played the course often.Both the East and West courses are Robert Trent Jones classics and were listed in his "Top 100 Designs". They offer an interesting challenge to every golfer, terrific value, as well as the opportunity to experience South Florida golf history. The West Course measures 7,017 yards from the tips with a slope of 132. The East Course Measures 6,473 yards with a slope of 124.
