Shores, AL - Kiva Dunes Gets High Ranking
Alabama’s Gulf Shores Golf
Association recently announced that one of its 10 member courses, Kiva Dunes
Golf & Beach Club, has been named the No. 1 course in Golfweek’s 10th annual,
state-by-state ranking of “America’s Best Courses.” The course was ranked No. 2
in Alabama last year by the magazine.

CBS Sports reaches a new agreement with
the PGA of America to extend broadcast rights of the PGA Championship
through 2011.
ESPN will broadcast live
Friday coverage of the Ryder Cup in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014, under an
agreement with NBC Sports announced today. ESPN also receives the right to
re-air NBC coverage and extended highlights of golf's most compelling event.
NBC, which has broadcast the Ryder Cup since 1991, will continue to broadcast
the final two days of competition.
ClubCorp Inc. enters into purchase agreements with KSL Capital Partners
LLC for its portfolio of nearly 170 clubs and three resorts and with the
Robert Dedman family for Pinehurst, the historic North Carolina resort.
These two transactions, which are subject to customary closing conditions, have
an aggregate transaction value of approximately $1.8 billion and are expected to
close by the end of 2006.
